I wrote this because I could not find a good solution that didn't involve resetting RA from scratch, or messing with drivers which only worked for some people. I may try copying the steam profiles to the pc version to see if I get a more accurate selection. Before Retroarch recognized both controllers and I could use User Bind Default All but now I cant get both to work at the same time. the pc version I have won't allow me to change the controller profiles. User 1 and 2 Device Type RetroPad w/ Analog. I do not know if it was a keyboard input without a controller input or if that is the reason why it saw my keyboard as my main controller based on more mapped buttons in the keyboard's config vs a generic gamepad. Note: The turbo button I was trying to remap to was 元 however the input was recognized as 4. I think my steam version does work but the pc does not even when using analog left/forced left. afterward, the keyboard and controller were both functional. ![]() RetroArch is an open source and cross platform frontend/framework for. what I did was unplug my keyboard navigated with a mouse to input under general settings and remapped my controller then saved the remap. It also offers support for PS4, PS5, Xbox One S, and Xbox Series X controllers for. which told me it had assumed the id of my xbox elite 2. My solution: I noticed when i unplugged my keyboard and replugged it was Identified as Bluetooth controller xe input even though it is connected usb. based on my research and my own theory RA picks whatever controller it believes is the best. there is a port 0 i believe for mouse and keyboard idk if you are allowed to modify it. In devices, I noticed my keyboard (generic old keyboard) was labeled as a gamepad after I remapped turbo settings in RA which after my controller was not useable but the same device name was connected to port 1. I believe RA defaults the controller based on your devices and how they are classified. This solution doesn't work for everyone so I want to add what worked for me and why I think it worked. ![]()
