It looks like it will turn into an ornament in my drawer simply because removing the garlic is so fiddly it is easier to chop the garlic and scrape it off the chopping board. If you are reasonably confident with a knife I would suggest just checking out Jamie Oliver's website for tips of chopping garlic rather than buying this. To get the garlic out you either have to use the tip of a small knife or a small spatula (becasue I bought the standard size one it needs to be a VERY small knife or spatula) or your finger all of which defeats the purpose of using this to chop the garlic and avoiding smelly fingers! The design of the Zoom means that there are several channels in the bottom of the chamber for the baldes to go through and the garlic gets stuck in these as well as other nooks and crannies in the chamber. The product itself is sturdy and looks good and it does chop the garlic for you exactly as it says it will but when it comes to getting the garlic out it is very fiddly.
